Outgoing faxes can fail for a variety of reasons outside of the sender's control, some of the most common ones are:
- The recipient's fax machine/fax number did not answer the incoming fax. This will result in a sent fax status of "Failed: No Answer".
- The recipient's fax machine/fax number was busy with a different connection. This will result in a sent fax status of "Failed: Busy"
- The recipient's connection failed. If the connection to the recipient's fax machine/fax number breaks, the fax will not fully send. It is possible for a portion of the faxes to be sent, however if the last page of a multi-page fax did not get delivered, it is marked as a failed sent fax.
If you encounter the above, we recommend:
- Check that the fax number is correct
- Confirm that the recipient's fax machine is in service
- Send out the fax again at a different time
